4Paws-Uk is situated in the countryside of the Fylde coast. The kennels were built to house long term quarantine pets returning to the Uk. They are therefore of a high standard and the accommodation is larger than normal. The kennels are placed in a secure fenced paddock which has free roaming Peacocks and hens which keep the residents occupied.
Wild ducks are also regular visitors.

The story concerns the anomaly of his uncle who died in 1921 aged 19 years being named on three 1914 to1918 war memorials.
