Pieter and Helen Burke have owned 4Paws-UK since 2001 and are very experienced dog owners. Helen is a championship dog show judge who has judged her own breed, Akitas, at Crufts in 2009 and Japanese Shiba Inu’s in 2015. Helen has also judged in the USA & Spain.
Pieter has worked and trained Akitas in harness and is a very experienced dog handler specialising in nervous dogs.
They have owned Akitas since 1982 and their Kennel Club Affix is Firedragon.

The story concerns the anomaly of his uncle who died in 1921 aged 19 years being named on three 1914 to1918 war memorials.
